One would think that purchasing a television for your bedroom or office would be simple, however, they would be quite mistaken. This is because there are literally hundreds of various televisions that you can choose from, all of which fit the descriptions you need. This is why I have made it my mission to directly review some of these televisions so you can make a more educated decision. There is nothing better than knowing you spent your money wisely, and buying a secondary television is still an investment into your home or office. One of these great televisions that will continually satisfy you is the Panasonic 23″ Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV.
Some of the features this television offers its users is the ability to view HDTV immediately. This is because there is a HDTV Tuner already build-in this TV. All you have to do is attach an HD-capable antenna, and then you will be able to immediately enjoy high-definition programming. However, if you want to watch HD digital cable, or satellite, than you will need to purchase a set-top box in order to do so, but it is so worth it once you see the brilliant images that HD can give you. Another great features is the 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, however, it isn’t this great pixel resolution, but the options that you have with the television. This screen can accurately display all major DTV signals, which include 720p, 480p, 480i and 1080i.
This television also comes with a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, which will give you a true cinematic experience. You can also choose between several different viewing modes, which include zoom, full and normal. In order to give you the greatest contrast and detail, there is an active light and active/gamma control system. Also, there is an In Plane Switching, or IPS, system, which will ensure that you will have a great view, no matter where you are sitting. Viewers will have a wide 178-degree vertical and horizontal viewing angles, thus eliminating problems of past LCD televisions. Those of you who have owned an LCD television in the past, are well aware that if you were to sit in the wrong angle, than you wouldn’t be able to see the screen well, because it would become washed out or really dark. Now, you won’t have to worry about this problem — that’s why this is a great office television for your waiting room.
So, we have covered the look of this television. It is very clear that you are going to be getting one of the nicest image quality that you can have, but exactly how well does this television sound? This television comes with 2 built-in 8W speakers. However, this isn’t the greatest aspect of the sound, the coolest feature that comes with your audio is the simulated surround sound, which will give you virtual surround sound, making it seem like you have a complete sound system set-up, but you don’t. This will save you money, from having to go buy extra speakers, and it will also give the viewers a very pleasurable experience, both visually and audibly. Also, this television comes with various inputs.
Some of these inputs include 2 S-video inputs, 3 audio inputs, 1 component video input, 1 HDMI-HDCP input and 3 video composite inputs. As well as having these inputs, there are also outputs available. These include 1 audio, 1 headphone and 1 composite video output. And, of course, there is a V-Chip preinstalled into your television. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the V-Chip, it gives you ultimate control over what is viewable for your television. This is a great feature if you have children, or if this is a public television. Now you won’t have to worry about individuals changing the channel to something that isn’t appropriate for viewing in your office, or in your home.
As you can see, this is one amazing television. One problem that has always bothered me about smaller televisions, is that you are usually not going to get all of the features that makes new televisions so great. However, with this television you get all of the features that a massive 50″ TV has, but now, the television screen is only 23″. If you are in the market for a secondary television, whether for home or in the office, than this may be the one for you. I do, however, recommend checking this set out in-person.
